Yet another Asus netbok. Not quite as the Asus Eee PC 1015P netbook does feature an average Intel Pine Trail Atom netbook hardware but unlike other netbooks it comes in all-matt finish including the screen which makes it perfect for outdoors. Yesterday we featured a netbook with a difference the AMD platform based Acer Aspire One 521 and today we have another netbook that is trying to add a different flavour to otherwise a very average Intel Pine Trail netbook. Usually we don’t get excited over yet another netbook release but two new models from Acer the Acer Aspire One 521 10.1 inch netbook and Acer Aspire One 721 11.6 inch netbook might raise some interest from us as they are not yet another Intel Atom packing netbooks. Instead of the Intel’s week Intel Atom platform they feature a more powerful combination of a 1.7GHz Athlon II Neo K125 processor (don’t get fooled by the ‘II’ symbol in the name as this is a single core processor) and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics that promise 1080p video playback. That all sounds good to us but usually AMD platforms are way behind the Intel platforms in terms of battery life. Read the full review at Engadget to find out if that’s the case.

Remember the overpriced Sony VAIO P series that sported a crazy 8 inch (1600×768 px) screen but totally let us down in terms of performance thanks to its Intel Atom processor. Well it is back this time adding built-in GPS and accelerometer which all sounds really great but we would still advise you to stay away from it due to Intel Atom processor and high RRP starting at £799. MSI Wind U160 joined MSI Wind U135 in MSI’s Intel Pine Trail netbook lineup. There isn’t really much difference in terms of hardware compared to the U135 as it is yet another average netbook but some may prefer the more elegant design of the U160. Intel Pine Trail party continues with Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 netbook. Sebastian Jentsch tested it and posted a review at Notebookcheck. His verdict was that the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 M33D6GE is pretty much your average netbook only it adds Lenovo’s excelletn built quality and keyboard. It is let down by its price of €329 while other manufacturers price their Intel Pine Trail netbooks at €249 – €299.

We already posted a review on the Samsung N220 netbook but here is another Intel Pine Trail netbook from Samsung the Samsung N210. They are pretty much identical except the subwoofer featured on the Samsung N220. Andy Vandervell at TrustedReviews tested it and found out that Samsung continues to tick all the right boxes with its netbooks and the Samsung N210 is no exception.

Sebastian Jentsch at NotebookCheck posted a review on the Packard Bell Dot s2 a 10.1 inch Intel Pine Trail netbook. It is just another average Intel Pine Trail netbook with decent battery life, build quality and keyboard. It doesn’t exactly stand out from the crowd but due to its good price it represents good value.

Finally Sony joins the Intel Pine Trail party with launching new M series netbooks available in black or white. The Sony Vaio M11M1E will feature Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz, 32-biy Genuine Windows 7 Starter, 1GB DDR2 RAM,  250GB 5400 rpm hard drive, 10.1 inch LED-backlit screen (1024×600), Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, size (D x H x W) 183 x 33 x 268 mm, weight 1.4kg, WLAN b/g/n, Bluetooth, webcam and 3xUSB. Pretty much an average netbook for about £300.

Acer also joins the Intel Pine Trail party with Acer Aspire One 532 10.1 inch Netbook. Felix Sold at NotebookCheck posted a review and thinks that the aside from longer battery life that Intel Pine Trail brings there is nothing special about the Acer Aspire One 532 apart from stylish and somewhat elegant chassis design.
