Fancy the looks of HP Envy but it’s over your budget. Worry not HP G62-130EG 15.6 inch Notebook takes design elements of HP Envy notebook series and adapts it to the budget notebook. Guys over at NotebookCheck just reviewed another mobile workstation from HP the HP EliteBook 8540p 15.6 inch Notebook. Their verdict was that when compared to HP EliteBook 8540w the EliteBook 8540p offers less features and performance but that doesn’t mean it will not get the job done. HP announced refresh to its Pavilion models back in May 2010 and now Joanna Stern at Engadget got her hands on the 14 inch HP Pavilion dm4. Her conclusion was that overall it is a great notebook as it features the right balance between looks, performance and battery life but unfortunately it is let down by a very bad touchpad which in our opinion is not that big of a deal. After all most people use a mouse for extended use.

We absolutely loved the HP Envy 13 so we are sad to see it go especially as it will be replaced by a bigger, less portable 14 inch HP Envy. But at the same time we are happy to see HP Envy 17 brining real gaming power to fashion notebooks with Intel Core i7 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 that can output games onto 3 screens merged into one wide image. Following the business HP ProBook line the HP Pavilion for home and multimedia users brings in new AMD CPUs choice and new selection of Intel CPUs as well. Apart from CPU updates it also features a new metal chassis design that looks sleeker and slimmer as the current Pavilion line-up. We especially like the red 15.6 inch HP Pavilion dv5.

Kevin O’Brien at NotebookReview posted a review on the HP Pavilion dm3t 13.3 inch Intel Core 2 Duo Notebook. He concluded that the HP Pavilion dm3t offers solid build quality and a wide range of configuration options such as both Intel and AMD processors and even a dedicated nVidia GeForce G105M dedicated graphics.

Kevin O’Brien at NotebookReview posted a review on the new HP EliteBook 254p 12.1 inch Ultraportable Notebook which packs a 2.13 GHz Intel Core i7-640LM processor. HP launched last year the HP Envy stylish notebook to go head-to-head with Macbook 13. While it definitely impressed with its style we mainly felt let down by poor battery life and high price. Now the 2010 HP Envy 13 model refresh with switchable graphics aims to finally win us over completely. Jerry Jackson at Notebook tested the new HP Envy 13 and found out that HP Envy 13 is with no doubt a very innovative and impressive notebook although it felt to him like HP tried too much to match Macbook’s features. HP Envy 13 does however offer great build quality and keyboard, good (6 hour) battery life but is let down by the high price that even surpasses already overprice Macbook.

No longer corporate world needs to suffer from boring black notebooks (Yes, Lenovo we are looking at you) thanks to HP’s latest ProBook S-series. Aside from being updated with latest Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 platforms they also bring refreshed chassis design that features brushed aluminium in either brown or red color schemes.
