Rory Reid at Cnet posted a review on the freshly baked Apple Mac Mini unibody desktop. His verdict was that the new Apple Mac mini really is a great looking computer thanks to Apple’s unibody aluminium design. But it’s not just a looker as it’s hardware got upgraded as well with most attention to graphics that come in courtesy of nVidia GeForce 320M. The only downside really is what all Apple products share – the price but then again what is the price of your friends’ faces when they will see you with one.

Samsung proved that can make excellent notebooks such as the Samsung R780 notebook but what kind of all-in-one desktop PCs could it produce. No need to ask yourself that question as Ardjuna Seghers at TrustedReviews just posted the review on the Samsung U200 20 inch All-in-one Desktop PC. He was overall satisfied with the Samsung U200 except with during these times the most important aspect – the price. He felt that competitors offer a lot more for a lot less money.

Dell has slowly been phasing out the gaming XPS desktop and notebook lines since it bought Alienware so it was surprising to see a new XPS desktop launched. Dell Studio XPS 7100 Gaming Desktop PC features a six-core AMD Phenom II X6 1055T processor running at  2.8GHz and a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics. Everyone is impressed by the power that gaming rigs such as Alienware Aurora ALX delivers but let’s not forget that most users are after basic desktop PC that are small, quite and most importantly affordable. Dell Inspiron 580s Intel Core i3 Slimline Desktop PC aims exactly at those users. Having a few Dell desktop PCs in our office we quite like Dell’s efforts in the desktop area so we were eager to see how their latest slimline PC will perform in test that was put through by J.R. Nelson at DesktopReview. His verdict was Dell Inspiron 580s isn’t the first and only attractive and capable slimline desktop PC but it definitely ticks all the right boxes such as good performance thanks to Intel Core i3, good build quality and very good value.

Dell finally updated their desktop Studio XPS 8000 and Inpsiron 500 series with Intel’s latest processors Core i3, i5 and i7. The two new models are Studio XPS 8100 and Inspiron 580 dekstop computers.

Dell Studio XSP 8100 was updated with a choice of  Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 seriess. Other options available are wireless networking, hybrid TV tuners, a choice of discrete graphics nVidia GeForce G310, nVidia GeForce GTX260 and ATI Radeon HD4770 and optional Blu-ray drive. Base configuration starts at £599.

Dell Inspiron 580 offers a choice of Intel Core i3 and i5 series, TV tuner, wireless networking, while the graphics options come in the form of Intel integrated graphics and nVidia GeForce GT220 dedicated graphics and Blu-ray is optional as well. Base configuration starts at £419.
