He thinks the Leica D-Lux 4 is the ultimate luxury compact digital camera as it is extremely expensive and superb camera with beautiful design, outstanding build quality, handling, performance and image quality. It essentially is a Panasonic LX3 so it’s up to you to decide whether you want to pat extra £200 for the Leica name.

Cliff Smith at TrustedReviews posted a review on the Olympus FE-4000 12 megapixel Compact Digital Camera. He thinks the Olympus FE-4000 is a rubbish camera even by cheap camera standards. Everything from build quality, handling, performance to image quality is just awful. So he suggest to stay way from this and I couldn’t agree more with him.

He thinks that the Canon IXUS 120 IS is definitely a good compact camera as it is extremely well made, looks great, is easy to use and delivers decent photos even in low lighting conditions. The only real complaint about it that he had was the price.

He thinks the Nikon Coolpix S70 features a flashy design with slick touchscreen user interface and wideangle lens with 5x optical zoom. But if you are looking to spend £230 on a compact digital camera the competition offers a lot more features.
