Alienware amazed us couple of weeks ago with world first portable gaming notebook the Alienware M11x now it’s ready to blow us away or better said blow your competition away with Alienware M17x Intel Core i7 17 inch gaming notebook that packs 1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 dedicated graphics chip which scored 15151 points in 3Dmark06. Florian Glaser at NotebookCheck thinks that  the Alienware M17x delivers amazing performance thanks to the overclocked Intel Core i7-620M 2.66GHz and ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2. It features a solid aluminium chassis design that stays pretty much all the time. There are some glitches though such as loud noise, heavy weight and some software and graphics driver crashes. We can digest the noise and weight it’s a gaming notebook after all but crashing is not acceptable especially if it the middle of a an intense fight that you are about to win. So Alienware and ATI get to work on fixing those drivers as fast as your notebook is.

It’s not i7, not even i5 but that doesn’t mean that Intel Core i3 doesn’t deliver enough power for all of your needs what also Sebastian Jentsch at NotebookCheck found out when he tested the Asus K52JR-SX059V 15.6 inch Intel Core i3 Notebook. He found out that the Asus K52JR-SX059V is a very efficient multimedia notebook and the Core i3-350M is superior to the Core 2 Duo processor when compared at the same clock rate.

Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1324 13.3 inch AMD Notebook Review

Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1324 13.3 inch AMD Notebook Review

It looks like that AMD isn’t giving up the fight with Intel in the portable notebook market even though most manufacturers are releasing Intel models only.  Jerry Jackson at NotebookReview posted a review on the Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1324 13.3 inch AMD Notebook. He thinks that in comparison to the Intel powered Toshiba Satellite T135 delivers the AMD powered Toshiba Satellite 135D brings better performance including better integrated graphics in form of ATI Radeon HD3200 but shorter battery life of  ”only” 5.5 hours compared to the Intel powered T135’s 8 hours and at the bottom line also note that the AMD version is $100 cheaper which isn’t bad. All and all it’s pretty much what we expected as the Intel CULV in combination with Intel GMA 4500MHD is no match for the AMD Turion Neo X2 and ATI Radeon HD3200. But as usually more power means shorter battery life but to be honest we think that 5.5 hour battery life is pretty adequate. Enough of chit-chat hit the link for full review.

Another post by Asus today but not for a notebook but for an all-in-one desktop PC Asus EeeTop ET2203. J.R. Nelson at DesktopReview tested it and came to conclusion that the ASUS EeeTop ET2203 is definitely solid all-in-one desktop PC with a few very appealing features such as full HD 21.6 inch screen (1920 x 1080 px), solid performance, HDMI video input and also decent set of integrated speakers. The bundled wireless keyboard and mouse perform very well. So all in all we would say that this is the all-in-one PC.
