It’s not i7, not even i5 but that doesn’t mean that Intel Core i3 doesn’t deliver enough power for all of your needs what also Sebastian Jentsch at NotebookCheck found out when he tested the Asus K52JR-SX059V 15.6 inch Intel Core i3 Notebook. He found out that the Asus K52JR-SX059V is a very efficient multimedia notebook and the Core i3-350M is superior to the Core 2 Duo processor when compared at the same clock rate.

Asus keeps releasing new Eee PC models so that it is very difficult to keep track of them. Anyway next one up is the Asus Eee PC 1001p 10.1 inch Intel Pine Trail Netbook. Sebastian Jentsch at NetbookCheck posted a review and thinksthe Asus Eee PC 1001p is the basic Asus Intel Pine Trail model with no bluetooth, only a 160 GB hard drive and Windows XP. But on the upside it delivers 11 hour battery life so it is a bargain road warrior.

Another post by Asus today but not for a notebook but for an all-in-one desktop PC Asus EeeTop ET2203. J.R. Nelson at DesktopReview tested it and came to conclusion that the ASUS EeeTop ET2203 is definitely solid all-in-one desktop PC with a few very appealing features such as full HD 21.6 inch screen (1920 x 1080 px), solid performance, HDMI video input and also decent set of integrated speakers. The bundled wireless keyboard and mouse perform very well. So all in all we would say that this is the all-in-one PC.

We were so impressed with the Asus UL50Vf notebook that we decided to post the review of the UK model as well which is Asus UL50Vt that is pretty much identical to the UL50Vf apart from featuring a 500 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Professional compared to the 320 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium that is found in the UL50Vf. Rory Reid at Cnet was first to post the review of the UK version and he thinks the Asus UL50Vt is a great notebook as it features an attractive design and is quite fast. It might not be the cheapest in it’s class but if you have the extra money you should definitely seriously consider it.

A flood of Intel Pine Trail netbooks continues with Asus Asus Eee PC 1008P Seashell 10.1 inch Netbook. Felix Sold at NotebookCheck spend some time with it and posted an in-depth review. He thinks Asus Eee PC 1008P brings positive experience to the table with decreased power consumption that results in an increased battery life (up to 13.5 hours) compared to the Asus’s own Intel Pine Trail Eee PC 1005P. Other then battery life and exclusive design by Karim Rashid wich we at HandsOnReviews have never heard of (but we do have to admit it does look very classy) it is yet another 10.1 inch netbook featuring a 250 GB hard drive and 1 GB RAM.

Kevin O’Brien at NotebookReview posted a review on the ASUS Eee PC 1005PE 10.1 inch Pine Trail Netbook. He thinks the Intel Pine Trail platform doesn’t bring a huge performance boost compared to the older N270 and N280-based netbooks, but it does give a huge bump in energy management. Compared to the Eee PC 1005HA which got 9 hours and 37 minutes in our original battery test, the 1005PE managed over 12 hours.

Kevin O’Brien at NotebookReview posted a review on the ASUS N61VN-A2 16 inch Quad Core Notebook. He thinks the ASUS N61VN performs well as an entry-level gaming and multimedia machine. The combination of NVIDIA GeForce 240M dedicated graphics and Intel Q9000 Quad Core processor can handle modern games at a lower WXGA resolution while still maintaining a decent battery life.
