Usually we don’t get excited over yet another netbook release but two new models from Acer the Acer Aspire One 521 10.1 inch netbook and Acer Aspire One 721 11.6 inch netbook might raise some interest from us as they are not yet another Intel Atom packing netbooks. Instead of the Intel’s week Intel Atom platform they feature a more powerful combination of a 1.7GHz Athlon II Neo K125 processor (don’t get fooled by the ‘II’ symbol in the name as this is a single core processor) and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics that promise 1080p video playback. That all sounds good to us but usually AMD platforms are way behind the Intel platforms in terms of battery life. Read the full review at Engadget to find out if that’s the case.
