More megapixels doesn’t necessarily mean better image quality. So let’s find out if Sony managed to produce a camera with a whopping 14 megapixel that also performs well in low-light conditions. Rod Lawton at Cnet has the answers as he posted the review on the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W380 14 megapixel Digital Camera. His conclusion was that the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W380 is overall well-designed and versatile digital camera that manages to  produce  good quality photos.

Panasonic has pretty much set the benchmarks for long zoom digital cameras with its Lumix TZ series. Cliff Smith at TrustedReviews posted a review on latest TZ series model the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 12 megapixel Digital Camera and it looks like that the TZ-10 continues the trend of Panasonic’s high quality long zoom camera series due to its good design, versatility, 12x optical zoom, optical image stabilisation, HD video recording, manual exposure and great low light performance.

Howard Creech at DigitalCameraReview posted a review on the Olympus E-P2 12 megapixel Pen Digital Camera. He thinks the Olympus E-P2  should appeal to pro and semi-pro shooters looking for a pocketable back-up camera with lots of creative potential, casual shooters looking for a stylish and easy to use camera with lots of automatic capability, and amateur photographers looking to move up from their consumer and prosumer point and shoots. The EP-2 is compact, unobtrusive, responsive, easy to use, and capable of consistently and dependably delivering “pro” quality images.

Mark Goldstein at Photography Blog posted a review on the Ricoh CX3 10 megapixel Digital Camera. He thinks the Ricoh CX3’s new 10 megapixel back-illuminated sensor does sound exotic and promises a lot but unfortunately it doesn’t bring many noticeable improvements over its predecessor the Ricoh CX2.

Cliff Smith at TrustedReviews posted a review on the Leica D-Lux 4 11.3 megapixel Digital Camera. He thinks the Leica D-Lux 4 is the ultimate luxury compact digital camera as it is extremely expensive and superb camera with beautiful design, outstanding build quality, handling, performance and image quality. It essentially is a Panasonic LX3 so it’s up to you to decide whether you want to pat extra £200 for the Leica name.

Everything from build quality, handling, performance to image quality is just awful. So he suggest to stay way from this and I couldn’t agree more with him.

Cliff Smith at TrustedReviews posted a review on the Nikon CoolPix S640 12 megapixel Compact Digital Camera. He  thinks that the Nikon CoolPix S640 doesn’t exactly live up to Nikon’s marketing claims it still is a very capable compact camera due to good build quality, easy-handling and swift performance and on top of that it produces decent photos even in low light conditions.

Cliff Smith at TrustedReviews posted a review on the Canon IXUS 120 IS 12 megapixel Compact Digital Camera. He thinks that the Canon IXUS 120 IS is definitely a good compact camera as it is extremely well made, looks great, is easy to use and delivers decent photos even in low lighting conditions. The only real complaint about it that he had was the price.

Joshua Goldman at Cnet posted a review on the Nikon Coolpix S70 12.1 megapixel Compact Digital Camera. He thinks the Nikon Coolpix S70 features a flashy design with slick touchscreen user interface and wideangle lens with 5x optical zoom. But if you are looking to spend £230 on a compact digital camera the competition offers a lot more features.
