MSI updated their top of the range 17 inch MSI GT725-9547VHP gaming notebook with the MSI GT740-021UK that packs Intel Core i7 processor and GeForce 1 GB GTS 250M. Ardjuna Seghers at TrustedReviews posted a review and concluded that the MSI GT740-021UK notebook offers good value, screen and excellent battery life for a 17 inch gaming notebook but its keyboard and medium range graphics card let it down.

Intel Pine Trail party continues with Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 netbook. Sebastian Jentsch tested it and posted a review at Notebookcheck. His verdict was that the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 M33D6GE is pretty much your average netbook only it adds Lenovo’s excelletn built quality and keyboard. It is let down by its price of €329 while other manufacturers price their Intel Pine Trail netbooks at €249 – €299.

First up for review from the new HTC Google Android 2.1 mobile phones was HTC Legend and it was very impressive indeed. Now its bigger and faster brother’s turn to go through tests. Flora Graham at Cnet had the honors of reviewing this top-of-range handset. She concluded that HTC Desire is offering speed, style and every feature that you can imagine but in her opinion it is not the perfect HTC phone yet as it is not as sexy as HTC Legend and she found the Google Android to be still a bit too geeky to top iPhone OS.

Sebastian Jentsch at Netbookcheck posted a review on the Asus N71JV 17.3 inch Entertainment Intel Core i5 Notebook. His verdict was that Asus N71JV is a solid entertainment notebook that might not be very suitable for gaming but it will not disappoint in sound quality and battery life. So if you are after notebook with decent speakers this is one you should seriously consider.

Canon PowerShot SX210 IS was announced back in February 2010 and now Cliff Smith at TrustedRevies posted a review on this 14 megapixel digital camera. His verdict was that the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS comes at a price but it does offer more useful features than other cameras in its class. As it is expected from Canon the build quality and handling are nothing less than excellent while the photo quality is very good considering the 14 megapixel sensor installed.

Probably you remember the hands-on photos of the Pentax Optio I-10 digital camera that we posted a while back. Now Patrick at Neutralday posted an in-depth review of this great old-school looking camera. Unfortunately the camera did not perform as well as it looks and he also found it slightly overpriced. Pitty, once for a change it would be nice to have a camera that looks good and produces equally good photos. Well it seems a man can’t have everything.

Acer is determined to take over in all notebook segments this time it is trying to win over the desktop replacement segment with announcing new Ethos line of notebooks. Not much details is available at the moment except that there will be an 18.4 inch Acer Ethos 8943G and 15.6 inch Acer Ethos 5943G notebook models. They will feature up to Full HD (1920 x 1080 px) screens, integrated 5.1 speaker system and a selection of Intel Core i7 processors while the graphics will come in courtesy of ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850. They sure pack a punch and look great but Acer hasn’t been known to deliver in the build quality department although we have to admit that it’s been getting better recently. If they will be priced right (which we are sure they will be) Acer just might surpass HP as number 1 computer manufacturer in the world.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Touchscreen Mobile Phone does look stylish but you might to hold on for a moment and read the review at Cnet before you go out and buy one as according to Janet Harkman the Sony Ericsson Vivaz proved to be frustrating to use due to fussy Symbian S60 operating system and resistive touchscreen. On the upside the featured 8 megapixel camera produces decent images and can record 720p videos.

We already posted a review on the Samsung N220 netbook but here is another Intel Pine Trail netbook from Samsung the Samsung N210. They are pretty much identical except the subwoofer featured on the Samsung N220. Andy Vandervell at TrustedReviews tested it and found out that Samsung continues to tick all the right boxes with its netbooks and the Samsung N210 is no exception.

Not everyone is looking for big and powerful notebooks. Some want a basic notebook with a big screen and a low price tag and Acer is on of the best manufacturers when it comes to producing good value notebooks for people with a tight budget. Kevin O’Brien at NotebookReview tested the Acer Aspire 7740 17.3 inch Intel Core i3 Notebook and found out that the Acer Aspire 7740 is a very attractively priced notebook with decent performance and looks. Acer once again proved that is the king of value computing by adding a 1600 x 900 resolution screen and even a blu-ray drive all for less then $750. Now that’s good value!
